Trao đổi nhiệt dạng tấm bán hàn
Trao đổi nhiệt dạng tấm bán hàn gồm một dãy các cassette (là cặp tấm kim loại mỏng được hàn kín để dẫn gas và không làm rò rỉ gas) ghép xen kẽ bằng gioăng cao su (gasket), và tất cả được bó ép lại trên một khung cứng, tạo thành các ngăn trao đổi nhiệt hai lưu chất gas – lỏng.
Hai lưu chất sẽ chảy tuần tự lên hai bề mặt tấm, trong đó gas sẽ chảy ở bề mặt tấm được hàn kín (cassette) còn chất lỏng còn lại chảy ở bền mặt tấm ghéo bằng gioăng cao su (gasket). Các ngăn/khe chảy được thiết kết đặc biệt để tạo ra trạng thái chảy rối tối đa đối với cả hai lưu chất, làm tăng hiệu quả truyền nhiệt tối đa.
Các gasket giúp tách biệt dễ dàng các tấm khi cần vệ sinh, thuận tiện điều chỉnh công suất bằng việc ghép thêm hoặc tháo bớt các cassette.
